A.L.M. Consulting Engineers engineered a dual fuel source 10,043 lbs/hr steam boiler system to heat this building. The steam boiler uses methane gas from a nearby landfill as the primary fuel source to fire the boiler. Natural gas is used as the secondary fuel source. A.L.M. also provided mechanical plans for retrofitting the three story building being served by this boiler with variable air volume boxes.

This school is approximately 30,000 Ft2. A.L.M. Consulting Engineers engineered a 125 ton air cooled chilled water system. We also engineered a 2,070,000 BTU boiler and hot water system to heat this building. Direct Digital Controls were used to control these systems.

A.L.M. Consulting Engineers engineered a hot and chilled water system for this school facility. The chilled water system consisted of two 80 ton Trane air cooled chillers, chilled water pumps, expansion tank and air separator.
The heating hot water system consisted of a 1,800,000 BTU Hi Delta hot water boiler with hot water pumps, expansion tanks and air separator.
Three Trane Modular Climate Changers were engineered to provide air to the conditioned spaces. Climate changers included economizer systems to utilize cooler outdoor air when applicable.
Direct Digital Control Systems were used to control the hot and chilled water systems.
An AO Smith gas fired boiler was engineered to provide domestic hot water to this facility.

The chilled water from the chiller and the storage tank is then used to serve the chilled water coils in the air handler which cools the building.
